Welcome to Schola Quadrata!

The name of our school is in Latin, and it means "the Square School." I chose this name because for some reason the square or rectangle has always been the preferred shape for carrying information across space and time: from clay tablets to sheets of papyrus to scrolls to books to computer screens to touch pads to smart phones. Information comes to us all through the square.

This school is dedicated to opening the world of Ancient and Classical languages to you by providing high-quality content at reasonable prices. It is my hope that you will benefit from the courses you study here, and that the knowledge and skills you gain will allow you to peer more clearly into the past and that this will enrich your understanding of the present and help you look more hopefully toward the future.
